Lancaster Alternative Virtual Academy (LAVA) Currently Enrolling for the 2011-12 School Year

Parents and families interested in an alternative to the traditional public school setting are encouraged to submit applications. The program is completely cost free to parents. There are limited spaces available. As part of the Lancaster School District, LAVA delivers a standards-based core curriculum with electives catered to the needs of each individual student. Subjects are delivered online, with daily support from fully credentialed teachers. LAVA serves 5th through 8th grade students who are academically advanced and may require a more advanced curriculum; students with chronic health problems that prevent regular classroom attendance; and students who have been unsuccessful in a regular educational setting. LAVA is located adjacent to Crossroads School at 44310 Hardwood Street, Lancaster. For more information, please email Contact Teacher Gary Keyes at keyesg@lancsd.org or call 661-726-5454.
